Voices of Spring

The Ohio Valley Symphony, the only professional orchestra in the Ohio river Valley encompassing Gallipolis, Ohio and Point Pleasant, West Virginia, is the resident ensemble of the 1895 Ariel Dater Hall. Designed around the Ariel Theater's magnificent acoustics, the OVS, under the direction of Maestro Ray Fowler, performs a wide variety of music selected to satisfy every musical appetite. OVS musicians hail from six states and play with a number of other prestigious orchestras such as the Columbus, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, West Virginia, Roanoke, Toledo and Pro Musica Symphonies. The Ohio Valley Symphony members will be joined by Ohio University's Choirs, under the direction of Peter Jarjisian for this very special evening of music. Songs including Walton Two Pieces from Henry V. Britten Simple Symphony. Bach Double Choir Motet. Rutter Requiem.
